In this project, a system constitutes a microfluidic device housing multiple parallel microchannels equipped with surface roughness elements is proposed, while the cavitation bubbles are directed to nearby clot blocks to inspect the impact of bubbles’ implosion on ablating thrombus. The fabricated devices modified by the surface implementation will be utilized to develop a cavitation induced thrombolysis of a clot-on-a-chip (COC) model. The microfluidic device will be fabricated at the cleanroom facility of the SUNUM. All the steps of the fabrication of microfluidic devices will be executed according to the techniques adopted from semiconductor-based microfabrication techniques. The fabrication process is very sensitive to the design, geometry, and roughness. Therefore, extensive information about the process and flow condition is required. Detailed analytical investigations are needed to generate cavitation. To do so,  the microfluidic device capable of generating cavitation phenomenon and invloves the platform for the clot on chip study will be designed and fabricated within this project.
