Turkish American and Turkish British writers have been part of the global literary landscape since the 20th century, yet their contributions remain understudied. This project seeks to anthologize contemporary writers of Turkish origin who primarily write in English. Currently in its early stages, the project aims to explore how migration and diasporic experiences shape their literary production through a series of interviews with selected authors.
Students involved in this project will conduct a literature review of existing scholarship on Turkish American and Turkish British writers, compile a list of emerging authors, and develop interview questions to gain deeper insights into their creative processes and thematic concerns.
