Snapshotting Turkish Banking System: governance, performance, strategy and risk taking

An efficient banking system is critical for a modern, market-based economy. This project aims to take a snapshot of contemporary Turkish banking system during last decade analyzing interesing periods such as currency crises or  more recent COVID19 crisis. Using publicly available market and financial statement data, different types of Turkish banks will be analyzed in terms of their governance, performance, strategy and risk taking. The project is expected to develop student's data collection, analysis and interpretation skills. 
Required Skills: MS Excel and Word, very good levels of written English and Turkish [candidates with some exposure to econometric analysis via Stata, R, or Python software are preferred]
