CNC Machine Tools are used in the manufacture of high value products in several industries such as but not limited to aerospace, energy, automotive and medical. In the current practice, CNC machine tools are operated by technicians who are well trained in machining processes. Nevertheless, there are still human caused operational errors, some of them can be lsited as follows

1) loading wrong cutting tool or operation, 2) running the wrong operation, 3) using wrong set of fixtures, tooling and even raw workpiece, 4) use of wrong spindle speed and feed rate override, 5) setting wrong operational modes etc.

In this project, it is aimed to develop an AI/ML supported and image process based operation control system to detect such operational mistakes, on-the-fly. The correct sequence of processes, and machine tool operation together with the correct settings will be taught by use of machine learning algorithms. Then, AI will be used for operational error detection
