This project studies the impact of Social Media on Global Affairs, with an emphasize on security issues. The students joining this project will assist with collecting, cleaning, and possibly analyzing data on social media accounts of political leaders and organizations as well as their online interactions. The students also help with collecting qualitative data on several cyber-conflicts cases. During this project, the students learn about the emerging literature on the nexus between conflict and social media. Also, they learn about conducting mixed-methods research, applying both quantitative and qualitative methods, in answering social science questions.
