Predicting the Longevity of Turkish TV Series: A Business Analytics Approach

Delen, Sharda, and Kumar (2007) have developed a web-based decision support system called Movie Forecast Guru (MFG) to facilitate decision making for Hollywood managers regarding movie characteristics such as genre, super-stars (star-power), technical effects and release time.

The aim of this project is similarly to use business analytics to build prediction models for Turkish TV series. The project will start with collecting the relevant data, determining the TV series decision parameters, and the success categories. Then, prediction models will be built to classify a TV series in one of the success categories.
