In this project students will take part designing and testing the supercapacitors. Bio-mass derived carbon electrodes will be synthesized and after that they will be used as electrode and electrochemical performance of supercapacitors will be tested. Especially, cyclovoltammetry and poteantiostatic electrochemical spectroscopy will be used to determine the energy and power density. Also self-discharge behaviour, specific capacitance and cycle life of the supercapacitors will be determined.
