We will try to synthesize alumina powders with good sinterability, starting with domestic precursors. The powders will be characterized with various methods for their phase
purity, morphology and sinterability. the aim is a domestic alumina powder that can be sintered to better then 95 % density at or below 1400 C without pressure.
