Cell Separation Microfluidics

Term:
2022-2023 Fall
Faculty Department of Project Supervisor:
Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
Number of Students:
1

This is an interdisciplinary bioengineering project. The students who will participate in this project will involve in every experiment and analysis. Dielectrophoretic characterization of tumor cells will be investigated by using a gold electrode array in a microfluidic dielectrophoresis device. Students will be regularly working with cell cultures and also will be responsible for some of the laboratory duties. They will perform the experiments with using a gold electrode-arrayed microfluidic chips and will learn how to use this setup. They will also learn to use bright filed microscopy. Image analysis will be performed using ImageJ.
