This project seeks to collect the data of about two thousand governorship appointments between 1913 and 1918, which were issued during the tenure of the last Ottoman government in power. These appointments, which were issued by the Unionist government, seem to present a particular pattern that could be used to understand who were preferred as bureaucrats for particular settings. The project aims to collect the full data, identify these patterns first and visualise them with GIS methods for further study.
