Gender bias in representation, under-representation of women, in the Turkish parliament is well known. However, despite the availability of data on MPs' actions in the parliament, we know less about whether and how women parliamentarians make a difference in the Turkish parliament. This project aims to uncover issues and topics discussed in the parliament with text-as-data methods. By focusing on parliamentarians' speeches, the project aims to analyze whether systemic differences across gender and political parties exist.
