The project aims to breakdown pharmaceuticals and pollutants present in wastewater utilizing hydrodynamic cavitation. The objective is to examine the governing mechanisms that cause cavitation and lead to the degradation of the targets. A successful undergraduate student should possess a robust foundation in practical experimentation, with a particular emphasis on fluid mechanics. The project involves setting up the experimental test rig, conducting high-speed observation of the phenomenon, and analyzing the samples following cavitation studies.
