The project aims to perform Electric Field simulations for several dielectrophoretic cell separation microfluidic chips including planar, interdigitated electrode arrays, 3D carbon electrode arrays, liquid electrodes, etc. Simulation of the electric field in the microfluidic chip will be perfomed using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The desing of the microfluidic platform will be provided with the voltage and frequency values, the conductivity and permittivity of the environment to be simulated. The microchip which provides the best simulation results will be microfabricated by a graduate student from Biomechatronics Research Group.
