Switching between tasks is costly for behavioral performance. This is one of the reasons why the start of homework is slower and more effortful than the period after getting used to it. However, how task switching affects the information used in these tasks is poorly understood. This project aims to fill this gap by investigating how task switching impacts the mental representations of task-relevant information. To do so, it will combine behavioral and EEG data.
- Students are expected to spend at least 6 hours/week. Approximately 4 hours will be spent on data collection, 30 minutes on the weekly project meeting, and 1.5 hours on reading and data analysis.
