Temporal integration refers to how we combine information over time into coherent experiences, rather than remembering isolated moments. Context has an important role in how this integration occurs. This project investigates how contextual changes and semantic knowledge together affect temporal integration processes.
We are particularly interested in how changes in context (like background color) and shifts in semantic information shape the way we integrate information over time. When does the brain continue binding new input with the recent past—and when does it draw a line and start over?
To explore this, we use EEG frequency tagging to track how brain regions involved in this binding process communicate through distinct frequency patterns.
This project offers a great opportunity for students interested in psychology and neuroscience to gain hands-on experience in experimental design, EEG data collection, and cognitive research.

What is Expected?
Students are expected to contribute about 6 hours per week to the research for data collection, weekly project meeting (30 minutes/week), and reading and data analysis processes.
