Codes are mathematical structures which are used for communication. One can construct codes using various mathematical tools. Codes to be studied in this project are of algebraic nature. More particularly, we will study codes over certain finite rings. Good algebra background, including ring theory and finite fields, is required to understand papers relevant to this project.
