Ordered arrays of nano-sized objects may offer additional functionalities over the individual objects themselves. We would like to produce ordered arrays of nano-sized materials with antenna-like propoerties stemming from cooperative interaction. In this project, we are fabricating arrays of nanosized materials by lithographic patterning, using a toolbox of additive and subtractive methods. The goal for this PURE project is for the student to gain deeper insight into the structure and properties of surface, colloids and arrays of colloids, while developing a process to produce the desired ordered array. Your tour guide in this adventure will be Semih Pehlivan.
