Would you imagine our daily lives now or in the future without integrated circuits, better known as chips, or chips driven technologies / products, such as communication devices, high-power devices for the automobile industry, low/high-temperature electronics for aero-space applications, or high- performance computing, surveillance and security / defense products, health-care and diagnostic products, to name just a few examples? With worldwide market value rapidly approaching to a trillion of dollars, enabling integrated circuit technology / products have also been classified as a strategic technology by many countries, also making billions of dollars investment every year.

The project aims to provide students a basic understanding and needs of knowledge and practical experience in integrated circuits - technology, design and applications, covering semiconductor device technologies and devices, design methodologies/flows of different signal processing integrated circuits as well as application examples of each in a nutshell. Additionally, it covers the design (EDA) tools of integrated circuits through hand-on implemented, sample projects and relevant training. It will provide students education and careers roadmaps / perspectives in worldwide industry and academia, provided by alumni-leaders of these fields.
