Cultural journalism is a specialized form of journalism situated at the intersection of media, arts and culture, and the creative industries. This particular style of journalism is distinguished from news-reporting and other more traditional types of journalism along a number of dimensions including purpose, target audience, degree of editorial control, role perceptions, and practices, which is why it is often referred to as ‘journalism with a difference’. In this project, students have the opportunity to explore this field further by undertaking a research investigation on a relevant topic of interest.
