It is widely acknowledged that, even under typical circumstances, university students are at especially high risk for psychological distress. With physical distancing measures and the sudden shift to online education since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, research shows that rates of the mental health disorders anxiety and depression are on the rise among young adults, which in turn has a direct impact on academic performance. In this project, participants will undertake to better understand the nature of these effects, exploring concepts such as perceived stress, locus of control, and coping strategies, with a view toward the development of self-efficacy skills among university students for academic success.

This project will be fully online.
