How do Machine Learning Algorithms work ?

Term:
2017-2018 Summer

With the exponential popularity of Data Science, there has been a great interest into Machine Learning techniques from various disciplines and background. However working of even simple ML algorithms are not trivial and requires in-depth formal analysis and therefore decision makers from different industries are reluctant to employ ML techniques with insufficient understanding of them.

In this project the main goal is to design and develop visual techniques to explain a small set of popular ML algorithms. The students are expected to investigate one clustering and one classification technique and develop a python based web application.
