Team building is one of the most critical skills in entrepreneurship. In many cases, having a good team leads to success more than having a brilliant idea. Composition of the skill sets in a team and how well team members work together, how they decide, how they solve disputes, how they manage uncertainties are key to success in entrepreneurship.
Turkish gaming startups are the rising stars of Turkish entrepreneurship ecosystem. In a new report released by Startup Centrum, Turkey ranked first in gaming startup investments in Europe in 2022. Just in the first 3 months of 2022, 61 Turkish gaming startups received 1.28 billion dollars of investment.  Moreover, due to the nature of product development in the gaming industry, team building has a critical importance for gaming startups. Gaming startups mostly need large teams including members from different backgrounds and different skill sets.
In this project, we will focus on team building skills of Turkish gaming startups. Students will familiarize themselves with the frameworks in team building in entrepreneurship. Students will be requested to make a literature review on team building in entrepreneurship, make 2-3 in-depth interviews with the founders’ teams of gaming startups, and to examine interview transcripts and notes for qualitative data analysis.
